EVENT INFO: BRANDED BONANZA IDAHO
Event Dates & Location:
August 7-9, 2026
Nampa, ID
Pick-Up Options:
Boise Corrals: Date TBD
BLM Holding Facility, BLM Adoption Event, or Forever Branded Adoption Center: Pick-Up Window Opens One Week After Boise Corral Pick-Up
Animal Assignment:
For Boise Corral pick-up, preview of the available animals will take place prior to assignment, at the Boise Corrals. ONLY approved adopters and competitors will be able to view the animals. For those who cannot be present, photos will be shared on the Facebook group. All animals will meet Forever Branded eligibility requirements for each division. The competitor or adopter will make a selection of 5-7 animals they wish to adopt and provide that list to Forever Branded. Animals will be assigned based on when the competitor's application was received and animal availability.
For alternate location pick-up, competitors may pick up the animal of their choice from any BLM holding facility, BLM adoption event, or Forever Branded Adoption Center beginning one week after the Boise Corral pick-up. Animals may be any color. Riding division animals must be 3-years-old or older.
Please use the form below to submit your competitor application for Branded Bonanza Idaho.
What you need to know BEFORE applying:
- Horses: All competitors will be adopting horses and burros. The adoption fee will be $125, payable to the Bureau of Land Management.
- BLM Adoption Application: You MUST attach a completed BLM adoption application with your Branded Bonanza application. Online Corral and previously approved applications will not be accepted. You must complete this application and attach it to this form prior to submission.
- Divisions:
- Youth Burro (8-17)
- Adult Burro (18+)
- Youth In-Hand (8-17)
- Youth Under-Saddle (14-17)
- Adult In-Hand (18+)
- Adult Under-Saddle (18+)
- Adult and youth applicants must choose between competing in-hand or under saddle and cannot choose to compete in both divisions with the same animal.
- Reassignment/Sale: New this year! An online auction will be held in conjunction with this event to help competitors rehome animals after the event if they wish. Participation in the auction is completely voluntary, and trainers will retain all proceeds from their animal, less any auction fees associated with the platform.
- Notes:
- The competitor, trainer and adopter can be different individuals. This means that an adopter/competitor may outsource the training of their animal if desired. It also means the adopter does not have to be the same person training and/or competing at the show. When completing the application, please note the competitor (or their legal guardian) must be the one to complete the application. If the animal will be housed or trained elsewhere, please provide that information where asked within the BLM application. If the adopter is not the competitor, they will need to be present at pick up to complete the BLM application paperwork. Youth competitors must have an adult adopter for their animal.
