Please visit the Branded Bonanza Idaho Registration page to apply. Do not use this form.

Eligible Animals:

For all riding divisions, horses must be over 3-years-old. For all in-hand divisions, horses must be at least 1-year-old. For burro divisions, burros must at least 1-year-old. Horses and burros may be any color.

Please use the form below to submit your competitor application for Branded Bonanza.

What you need to know BEFORE applying:

  • Horses: All competitors will be adopting horses and burros. The adoption fee will be $125, payable to the Bureau of Land Management.
  • BLM Adoption/Sale Paperwork: If competing at any event OTHER than Idaho, you will be required to submit a copy of your adoption or sale paperwork showing the animal's freezemark, adoption/sale date, adoption/sale location, and adopter/purchaser name. Please have this handy for upload.
  • Divisions:
    • Youth Burro (8-17; California, Idaho & Missouri only)
    • Adult Burro (18+; California, Idaho & Missouri only)
    • Youth In-Hand (8-17; California, Idaho & Missouri only)
    • Youth Under-Saddle (14-17; Missouri, Idaho & EXCA only)
    • Adult In-Hand (18+; California, Idaho & Missouri only)
    • Adult Under-Saddle (18+; Missouri, Idaho & EXCA only)
    • Adult and youth applicants must choose between competing in-hand or under saddle and cannot choose to compete in both divisions.
  • Reassignment: If you plan to reassign your animal following the competition, Forever Branded is offering an opportunity to market your horse or burro through our website and social media channels and online platform.
  • Auction: We will also be hosting an online auction in conjunction with each event in partnership with Longhorn Video Auctions. The auction is optional, and you will not be required to consign your animal in order to compete at the event. Registration and more details will be shared prior to the event.
  • Notes:
    • The competitor, trainer and adopter can be different individuals. This means that an adopter/competitor may outsource the training of their animal if desired. It also means the adopter does not have to be the same person training and/or competing at the show. When completing the application, please note the competitor (or their legal guardian) must be the one to complete the application. If the adopter is not the competitor and you are planning to compete at the Idaho event, the adopter/purchaser will need to be present at pick up to complete the BLM application paperwork. Similarly for Idaho, youth competitors must have an adult adopter for their animal.
  • Rules: Review the Rules & Regs here.
